Creative StarsCreative Movement is designed for 3- and 4-year-old dancers, introducing ballet and tap in a fun, creative environment that builds coordination, memory, and social skills. Dancers will perform one routine in the spring performance.

Tiny Stars & AcroBallet classes run from beginner to advanced, building technique, alignment, and strength, with Pointe offered for advanced dancers; all academy students are required to take ballet. Tap classes focus on rhythm and sound, using warm-ups, across-the-floor work, and center practice to develop skills.

JazzJazz classes are high-energy, focusing on kicks, leaps, turns, splits, and isolations, with stretching, across-the-floor work, and center combos; all academy students must participate. Hip Hop blends street, funk, and jazz, teaching isolations, dynamics, and pop-and-lock.

LyricalLyrical is a style of dance that uses the emotion and mood of the music to elicit movements from the dancers. Students have a warm up focusing in core strength, flexibility, and movement of the back. The class includes floor work, progressions, and center combinations.

Acro-GymnaticsAcro-gymnastics teaches flexibility, and tumbling while strengthening the body. Gymnastics skills include but are not limited to walkovers, limbers, handsprings, chest rolls, cartwheels/round offs, handstands, and more.

Leaps and TurnsLeaps & turns is a technique class that is dedicating to learning, improving, and perfecting technique in jumps, kicks, turns, etc. Stretch and strengthening is also combined to improve dancers’ power. All students in the academy classes must participate in this class.
